Welcome to Healinc Telecom, LLC’s LifeLinks Tutors’ Foundation “Tutoring Solutions.” Tutoring Solutions is offered as a free, non-profit public service for the Deaf Community. It is specifically designed to assist elementary, middle school, and high school students complete school assignments in mathematics, English, science, literature and history.
LifeLinks Tutors Foundation Students receive:
- Access to experienced, ASL conversant, subject matter experts;
- Personalized coaching and instruction;
- Interactive sessions that promote focused discussion; and
- Unlimited tutoring sessions that enable students to develop relationships with tutors.
LifeLinks Tutors Foundation’s mission is to support academic success.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE :
- Install your webcamera.
- Go to www.sightspeed.com download the free software. Click on the
2nd tab on the top of the page, "Download". Click on "New Member". Follow
prompts to download the SightSpeed Software onto your computer.You may have to restart your computer.

Copy the following list of TUTORS into your contact list:
- Open SightSpeed. Go to the 4th tab, "Contacts". Bring cursor to the
white box on the right side of the page. Now press "CTRL" and "V". This
will paste all of the tutor contacts into your phone book. Next click on
the 1st tab on the top of the screen, "Video and Voice Call". You are now
ready to call any of the Tutors.
- When you see a GREEN LIGHT next to a tutor it means that that person is available. Just click on the icon and you will be connected. Ask your parent or guardian to meet the tutor so that they give their approval of the learning session.
- A RED LIGHT means that the tutor is busy and may be available soon.
- A BLUE LIGHT means that the interpreter is temporarily unavailable and may be back soon.
CONDITIONS OF SERVICE
Use of LifeLinks Tutors’ Foundation’s Tutoring Solutions is subject to acceptance of the following Conditions of Service. Minors, those under the age of 18 or 21(depending on your state), must obtain parental or legal guardian consent to use Tutoring Solutions. Parental or guardian consent is an affirmative acknowledgement that the parent or guardian has read and understands the Conditions for Service and agrees to be bound by them. Separate affirmative parental or guardian acknowledgement and consent is required for each Tutoring Solutions session and may be done verbally on the monitor prior to the start of the free tutoring session. It will be video-recorded by the tutor.
Tutoring Solutions is provided without cost as a public service for Deaf and hearing-impaired elementary, middle school, and high school students to assist students in completing discrete school-assigned homework assignments in classes that are part of an accredited school’s graduation curriculum. Tutoring Solutions tutors provide assistance on a single discrete assignment per session. Tutors are available to assist in mathematics, English, science, history and literature assignments. Tutors are subject-matter qualified, and trained to assist students in basic course homework assignments. No personal information is collected from the student, parent, or legal guardian by the tutor or Tutoring Solutions.
Session length is limited to 20 minutes to allow time for other students to access an interpreter, although it may be terminated by the student at any time before that time. A tutor may terminate a session if the tutor determines that the student is acting inappropriately manner, is being disruptive, discourteous, or intentionally uncooperative.
By agreeing to utilize Tutoring Solutions, the student and student’s parent or legal guardian acknowledges that he or she has read and understands these Conditions of Service and agrees allow Tutoring Solutions to tutor the parent or legal guardian’s student, and to indemnify Tutoring Solutions and its tutors against claims of providing inaccurate or misleading information, or adversely impacting the student’s assignment or overall course grade. The Parent or legal guardian allows his or her acknowledgement to be recorded for file.
This Conditions of Service shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York. If any provision of this Conditions of Service is held by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, void, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall nevertheless continue in full force without being impaired or invalidated in any way. Any dispute arising under or related in any way to this Conditions of Service shall be adjudicated in a court of competent jurisdiction in the County of New York.
